Typically, this involves opening the floor (Utilizing jackhammer or concrete saw) around the perimeter of the basement, digging a trench, and installing gravel and pipe around the footer which usually leads to a sump pump which is installed in PE crack with PE cover. Crock and pump are below floor level and the only exposed portion will be 1,25” discharge line. We also install ‘weep-holes’—small, one-half- to three-quarter-inch holes in each block cavity—to release any water that may be trapped. The holes are covered with a plastic molding or styrene panel before the floor is re-concreted.
